AT LONG LAST!!!

Photobucket

I've finally finished the entire Shaman King animated series. It was an awesome experience. I learned a lot of lessons on power, friendship, and many more.

Here are some things I loved about the series:
- the kawaii-ness of Oyamada Manta, Kororo, and Opacho
- the astig ways and hairdo transformation of Bokuto-no-Ryu
- the a la Kakashi personality of Yoh's dad
- the range of spirits and shaman from the awesome (Bason, X-Laws' angels) to the far-fetched (Peyote Diaz's mariachi, Faust VIII's Eliza), to even the downright weird (those scuba diver shamans' giant turtle, fish, and bird)
- Anna's sarcastic (and sometimes cruelly sarcastic) ways
- Chocolove's punchlines
- Yoh and the others' unfaltering friendship

I just would like to comment on Hao's role villainy. He is now one of those villains whose mercilessly diabolic cruelty and hatred almost set my ire venting beyond 3000 degrees Fahrenheit. @#$%^&*! him!!!!

And so, many thanks to creator Hiroyuki Takei, Shonen Jump, Xebec Inc., TV Tokyo, and the Internet for their collaboration in allowing me to watch all 64 episodes.

Follow-up Updates:

I also saw some roadkill while walking to and from UNO-R. I think it was a cat. Almost lost my appetite seeing its flesh and innards exposed on the road.

Hay, 'tis going to be a busy week next week.

2ND SEM UPDATES

Nov. 3
- Went to UNO-R early in full school uniform. Had a chit-chat with Tiffany and Ashraf. Thought that classes officially start on that day. Not yet. Many students have not enrolled yet. Went home to get some rest. Went to sleep. Skipped lunch.
- Came back to school (still in uniform). Got startled by the sight of Al Gerard and Phil Ness (wearing the UNO-R uniform) together. She transferred to UNO-R for academic reasons (boring ang Accounting sa La Salle kuno). Thought that Al would be jubilant at this.
- Received my student's copy. Came to the conclusion that I and Kristine Leera were still classmates (WOOHOO!). Nang Keziah is still not finished with her enrollment.
- My sister, Kim Flobin, returned to Manila to come back to work, heralding the end of my 1st college sembreak.

Nov. 4
- Civilian day. Went to school and met with my circle of friends: Kristine Leera, Judelyn, Recon John, and Nicko. Anticipated their student copies. No sight of Nang Keziah.
- Saw Al sitting on a bench. Approached him and chit-chatted on stuff. He didn't attend his classes so he could wait for Phil Ness, who called him on his CP. Went somewhere else. Met up with him again, this time with Phil Ness. Went to the Library with them to apply for our accounts. Left them again, only to meet them later on at the Educ. Office.
- Invited my College of Education friends to lunch at home. Watched "Angels and Demons" on our component while waiting for the food. My cousin and little nephew both arrived. Ate lunch together. Kristine Leera volunteered to be the dishwasher. Went back to school together.
- Moment of truth. My classmates' student copies came. We weren't of the same schedule except for some subjects. Ouch. Still no sighting of Nang Keziah. They reminded me of the Peer Facilitators' meeting later on (which they couldn't attend). Stark day...
- Went to the College SDPC and met with Sir Kiko. Had a little chat with him and he asked me a favor to xerox the newsletter. He gave me Php 20.00 and I went outside to xerox 20 copies. Went back to the SDPC and went home for a while. Checked out the 'Net, and came back a bit late for the meeting. Discussed Peer Faci agenda. Meeting adjourned at around 5:30. After dinner, I was about to continue the "Nacho Libre" movie but a blackout occurred. Went to bed early and did something nasty before that.

Nov. 5
- Cinco de Noviembre. No classes. Woke up early to buy wasabi for my ryokan at Restaurant City. Ate breakfast and finished "Nacho Libre". Went to my bedroom to take a nap. Ate lunch.
- Finished another Chapter in NWN for the whole afternoon. Killed a lot of demons, undead, bandits, spellcasters and other monstrosities. Finally saw the monstrosity that Morag looks like. Aribeth betrays Neverwinter.
- Watched a Monty Python documentary. Had supper. Went to sleep. Listened to Ditchella's favorite tunes before going to sleep.

Nov. 6
- Civilian day. Went to school wearing my agonizing China-made Crocs. Nakiki-uso lang kay Iron Chef Mario Batali. Assuming my vice-mayoral duties, I signed some clearances due to the absence of Madame Mayor. After going home, some of my constituents even visited my house just to get their clearances signed. Ate lunch. Watched a few episodes of Shaman King before going back to school to continue duties.
- Sang at church later in the afternoon with my SCAP and High School buds. Almost got a few notes wrong. Went home. Typed this blog entry. Plan to finish Shaman King later. (Darn, Hao is such a bad-ass shaman... but I'm sure his good twin Yoh can beat the crap out of him in the end.)

Smell ya all next time! Yee-haw!

Weird Al turned REM's "Stand" to "Spam"? LOL.

This is what happens when a quite cool song (with silly dance steps) like this...

...is turned into a parody by Weird Al.

"Stand in the place where you live
Now face north
Think about direction
Wonder why you haven't before
Now stand in the place where you work
Now face west
Think about the place where you live
Wonder why you haven't before"

...becomes...

"Spam in the place where I live (ham and pork)
Think about nutrition, wonder what's inside it now (oh boy)
Spam in my lunchbox at work (it's the best)
Really makes a darn good sandwich any way you slice it at all"

WHAT THE CRACK, CHRISTOPHER LEE CAN SING?!

That baritone-voiced veteran actor whose roles are villainous can also sing?! That guy who played Count Dracula, Count Dooku, and Saruman?

Heh-heh! I once thought that his voice was more suitable for Black Speech incantations.
Sir Ditchella ought to see this for himself and compare it with Tim Curry's "Dr. Frankenfurter".

Sa wakas! SEMBREAK!!!
